ChefMr. Mitsuhiko Tsutsui - Young standard-bearer of Kyoto Italian Cuisine
Born in Osaka in 1974. While attending culinary school, he was impressed by the food at the Italian Cuisine Restaurants ``Ponte Vecchio'' in Osaka, and joined the restaurant in 1995. Studied under famous chef Daisuke Yamane and was appointed head chef at the age of 24. After retiring in 2006, he opened Ristorante Chimera in Gion in June of the following year. The innovative and beautiful Italian Cuisine born from flexible ideas and logical intelligence has gained a reputation. Received one star in "Michelin Guide Kyoto/Osaka + Tottori 2019".

Ristorante Chimera is located just outside the south tower gate of Yasaka Shrine. The elegant storefront is a renovated Gion townhouse. When you walk through the corridor on the right side of the building and open the door, you will be taken aback by a modern space with a grand piano. The adjacent wine cellar is also impressive.
