スマホのスケジュールがRefillsから消えてしまうという真っ青な事態。同期させていたシステムがいつの間にかサポート終了していたらしく唖然呆然、言葉を失う。
昨年末までの情報はバックアップされていたものの記憶と個々のメールなどを見返しなんとか復元してGWの旅程もクリア…と思いきや、大徳寺を参拝し荷物を上七軒の花街にある京町家の民泊に預けたところで携帯に着信が。
｢12時にランチ予約をされていますがお見えにならないので…｣えっ…？？なんのこと？？どこのお店？？｢東山の『丹』ですが｣……あっ！そうだ、確かに数ヵ月前に予約してその後人数変更の連絡までしていたのに痛恨の失念。
スケジュールから抜け落ちたまま気づかず、これから向かっても次のお客が詰まっており13:15には退店せねばならないとのこと。市街の北西から東まで結構な移動距離で今からコースを満喫するのは厳しいかと断念し平謝り。
キャンセル料を後日の振り込みとし忸怩たる思い…もすぐに連れの同行者とやりとりしたところ一転、せっかくの機会に少しでも味わえるならというわけで再度連絡。時間内に提供できる範囲でならと受け容れてもらうことに。
さらに幸いなことに民泊のオーナーがマイカーで送ってくださるという好意に預かり、店に着いたのが13時前。そこから15分で頂戴できた品々、選べるメインは一択で牛丼となり単品コースなら￥3000を吉野家並みの早食い。
それでもサーモンから牛蒡の和え物までなんと豊潤な15分だったことか。ｵﾘｼﾞﾅﾙ3種のコロッケは残念ながら味わえずもお米も漬物も美味しく、白川橋の川沿いに柳も涼やかなﾛｹｰｼｮﾝにあるｵｰﾌﾟﾝｷｯﾁﾝの佇まいも居心地よく。
慌ただしいはずがなぜか寛いだ時間が流れる空間。やはり諦めたらそこで試合終了ですよというわけで、辿り着けて心よりよかったと感謝。忘れ得ぬ思い出に。またあらためてきちんと全コースを味わう機会あればと再訪願う。
