A Japanese cuisine restaurant located along Marutamachi Street near Kumano Shrine. It is about a 5-6 minute walk from the nearest station, Jingu Marutamachi. The rating on Tabelog itself is 3.11 (2022.10.08), which is not very good, but this is a restaurant that was recommended to me by the driver in a taxi heading to Higashiyama-Ogata last year. Lunch prices range from around 3,000 yen to 7,700 yen including tax for the top course. The following is the content of the Yamabuki course (7,700 yen including tax) that I received on the day. Appetizer (persimmon and fig dressed in white) Hassun (small skin Sushi, chirimenjako, Chinese ink, edamame, fishball, duck loin and pear, whelk, hozuki, simmered octopus) Sashimi (sea urchin, fatty tuna, sea bream) , Ise lobster) Steamed in a pot (matsutake mushrooms from Shinshu, conger eel from Awaji) Oyster (senhotoji) Steamed with koji miso Grilled Kawachi duck Matsutake rice (additional charge applies) Peach, pear, and cream cheese Appetizer, 8 sun and elaborate dishes will give you. This is the content that advances sake. The quality and quantity of the sashimi was acceptable in this price range. Dobin-mushi has a rather monotonous taste, perhaps because the aroma and umami of matsutake mushrooms are weak. Still, I was surprised that domestic matsutake mushrooms (Shinshu) were served at this price. I didn't get the impression that the soup stock was very refined, but it was decent. For Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot), pay an additional charge of 1,500 to 1,600 yen and choose matsutake mushroom rice. The matsutake mushrooms here also had an enjoyable texture, but the aroma was lacking, but considering the price, it can't be helped. Other than the steamed Oyster with koji miso, I was pretty satisfied. I drank a little and spent over 10,000 yen. For Japanese-style meal with a course price of less than 8,000 yen (10,000 yen including additional options), I think it's pretty decent. It was easy to make a reservation, and you can decide which course you want on the day of your visit. The range of courses is wide, so it's extremely easy to use. I think it's a restaurant that is an extension of everyday use, and it's a genuine restaurant that will come in handy when you want to enjoy a small meal.
