[Kyoto Demachiyanagi, Private rooms available] When it comes to "tsukemono sushi" in Kyoto, "Kiyosu" is the place to go. Delicious and healthy, a long-established restaurant
Kiyosu's specialty "Tsukemono Sushi" is an exquisite combination of pickled seasonal ingredients and vinegared rice, and it has a strong flavor even without soy sauce, so you can eat it as it is. In a |
Today I went to "Kiyosu", which is famous for pickled Sushi. Apparently this is the restaurant where pickled Sushi originated. It was originally Ryokan, and the name of the restaurant has been there ever since. It was introduced in Kateigaho magazine. On this day, even though it was their regular day off, they opened the restaurant for us (^_^)v It's located right after you pass through the Demachiyanagi shopping street. If you don't know the exterior, it might be a little difficult to enter!? I ordered "I want to eat pickled Sushi!", so I don't know which course it was (*_*) The contents are as shown in the photo. The appetizer was light and very Kyoto cuisine. There were four kinds of sashimi: sea bream, squid, sea urchin, and conger eel. Since it's Kyoto, we chose conger eel in summer. The cold Kamo eggplant was a delicious summer dish. The grilled dish was a saikyo-yaki of mutsu! It was fatty and delicious!!! The tempura was also good with just the right amount! It was my first time to try the hot pot, and it was Yanagawa conger eel (@_@) Summer in Kyoto! It felt like it. The final dish was pickled Sushi! It seems that it's difficult in the summer because there aren't many types of pickles. The cabbage Sushi was especially delicious ^^ Furthermore, conversations with the dynamic chef Ii enhanced the flavor of the food even more. Apparently, you can see four of them from the rooftop here when the Daimonji Yaki is being held (@_@) If I have time, I'd love to come and see them ^^ You should definitely try the original pickled Sushi at least once! This course meal was 4,000 yen. For what you get, this price is too cheap!! Maybe they gave us a discount?????
