Since the building is rented out, it does not have the atmosphere of a typical restaurant or Japanese restaurant. However, you can see a panoramic view of Higashiyama, and the food is certainly delicious. The price seems reasonable considering it's a tourist destination. It's a good place to go when you come to Kyoto for sightseeing.
