一九九七年、初夏。ろくだいは武蔵野の面影を色濃く残す東京杉並区の久我山にて創業しました。
玉川上水の景観の中に、次世代の日本料理を求め
粗食でありながら楽しさを表現した独自の在り方は多くのお客様のご支持を得ました。
　二〇〇一年、柳川に移転。筑後の地と有明の空、堀割を巡る風に触発されながら、料理に漂っておりました。
そして二〇〇八年春、京都西院の地にその居を移し、祇園祭も終わり頃に開店致しました。
　創業から一貫して、表通りに店を構えず、ご予約のお客様だけをお受けしている日本料理屋です。
屋号の由来ともなった、天・地・風・火・水・識の六つの要素を料理の中に踏襲してゆきたいと存じます。
　普段使いの懐石を念頭に、六千円(税別)のおまかせコース料理をご提供してゆきます。
　草食　草堂(あばら家にして粗末な料理)ながらも、創意と工夫でお気に召して頂けるかと思います。
　至らぬ事多き小さな店屋、ご予約だけの営業形態の店屋ではありますが、皆様との出会いに、私共意気熱い気持ちであります。
