Kamishichiken, Kyoto's oldest geisha district
Kamishichiken is the oldest of the five geisha districts in Kyoto. Located within it, Kamishichiken Kurosuke is a historic teahouse built in the early Meiji period that has been reborn as a restaurant
..., preserving the atmosphere of the time. Guests can enjoy seasonal dishes made with seasonal ingredients, as well as richly sweet and smooth Tofu dishes. Geisha and maiko are sometimes invited to the teahouse for a fun time. This month, we are offering courses incorporating seasonal ingredients. If you are visiting Kitano Tenmangu Shrine or Kamishichiken Kaburenjo, please feel free to use this restaurant for celebrations.
