西大路の益市さん、京都では昔から有名な焼肉屋さんなので、
行ってみたいと思いつつ、駅からちょっと離れているためなかなか機会がなくて。
そうこうするうち少し前くらいからたくさんお店を出されて今や市内に５店舗？ 一大グループ
ですね。京都駅エリアにも２店舗あり、八条口から徒歩圏内のこちらにお邪魔しました。お店が
入っているのは、屋上のガーデンスペースに階下に入居するお店からお料理を持って来て頂ける
というので気になっていたビルでした。他にはスペイン料理のアブラモスさんや天ぷらの玄さん、
以前好印象だった馬肉料理の馬鹿凡人さんも移転されていて、小さいながらもグルメ関係大充実。
益市さんは２階です。入ってすぐのメインエリアにBOXのソファ席とテーブル席、右に折れると
カウンター席もありました。このメインのエリアは平面的で狭く感じられるので、落ち着かない
ようにも見えました。特にテーブル席は席間も詰まっていて、２人で来るにはあまり向いた席が
ないかも。今回は奥の個室に伺いましたが､ こちらは19時以降予約できないらしいのが難点かな。
さて何を食べたか、どうだったか、は実ははっきり記憶がなく。
益市さんてどんなお肉だろう、と思いすぎていたせいなのか、普通に美味しい。くらいでした…。
手元のレシートから、肉系メニューはメモ。
・大トロウニ寿司 ・たんの塩焼き ・ハラミタレ
・焼きしゃぶロース ・霜降りカルビ ・通のミックスホルモン
・タン厚切り ・ココロ刺し ・焼き肉家の肉巻き寿司
・生センマイ ・大とろの炙り ・ハラミ塩
お肉がどうこうというよりはおそらくタレが濃いので、食後感が重かったのがマイナス振れ要因。
CPは、量多めにオーダーしたにも関わらず、￥6,000に収まったのはリーズナブルだと思います。
まあたまたまか、オーダーの仕方や体調にもよりますし。
最近も焼肉屋さん増加中の京都駅エリアでも肉質、雰囲気とも安定して外れがないお店なのでは。
