Marugame Seimen's "Attention to Detail"
Marugame Seimen's udon noodles are made with just these three ingredients: 100% Hokkaido flour, salt, and water. The udon noodles are boiled in a large boiling pot using the shop's noodle making machi |
Since it was the day of kamaage udon, it was well past lunchtime, but I visited this restaurant. The kamaage udon (special) (550 yen ➡︎ 270 yen) was the timing when the udon was freshly made. Perhaps because it was such the best timing, the udon noodles made by Marugame Seimen that I ate for the first time in a long time were delicious. It's nice to be offered at this price with this quality. Is it just that other restaurant are expensive? I feel it. Kashiwaten (170 yen) is fried and the batter is crispy. The price has been raised, but the taste is not bad.
