三重県桑名駅から少し歩いたところにある、蛤専門店。店名の通り、蛤のコース一本で勝負するお店。
全室個室になっており、掘り炬燵なのでリラックスできるが、部屋は少し寂しい感じ。
予約の5分前からしか入れなく、入り口で待ち、5分前になってインターホンを押し、予約の名前を告げるとあげてくれる。
値段はその時の蛤の値段に左右されるが、この日は8,800円でサービス料は別。
全部で8品のコース。
最初は蛤のお刺身から。刺身で食べることは滅多にないので新鮮。わさびと醤油でいただくが、蛤の旨味が詰まっていて美味しい。
次は焼き蛤。お店の方が個室内で丁寧に調理してくれる、最高のタイミングで出してくれる。まずはそのままいただくと、噛んだ瞬間に蛤の出汁が口中に広がる。食感も良くぷりぷりでとても美味しい。薬味などがあるので、2つ目はバター醤油で3つ目はすだちでいただくが、それぞれがかなり美味しい。
次が蛤の磯辺焼き。これが一番美味しかった。蛤の塊を磯辺揚げにしているのではなく、刺身のように切ったものをまとめて磯部焼きにしている感じ。こちらも噛んだ瞬間に中から蛤汁が溢れてくる。海苔などとも良くあって美味しい。
その後蛤の時雨煮をはさみ、しゃぶしゃぶへ。こちらは2回に分けて2つずつ出してくれる。焼き蛤との違いはあまりわからなかったけれど、やはり美味しい。
葛切りを出汁に入れてくれるのだが、こちらは初めての体験で美味しかった。蛤のしっかりとした出汁に、食感も良いツルツルの葛切りがよく合う。新鮮な経験。
最後は雑炊とデザートをいただき、大満足のフルコースだった。
