伊勢海老定食
伊勢と言えば伊勢海老。誰でも知ってます。ということでコスパ抜群と噂のこちらのお店。前日までに食べるメニューを伝えて予約です。選んだのは一番人気の伊勢海老定食。伊勢海老の刺身は食べたことがなかったからです。伊勢海老の流通の8割は千葉県産と旅行前日に上司に教えられたけれど、ここのは伊勢産と信じています。
お店に着くと前菜で鯵やうるめ？のような魚の南蛮漬けがすぐに来ました。さっぱり、魚にも味が染みていて美味しく、玉ねぎがシャキシャキ。
そしてすぐにメインの伊勢海老の刺身と地魚の刺身。伊勢海老は他の海老と違って食感がブリブリ。もっとネットリ系かと思いましたが違いました。味自体はそこまで旨味が強いという感じではありませんでした。頭は後でお味噌汁にしてくれるとのこと。しかし気になり味噌を食べてみると、これもそこまで味がしない。正直拍子抜けでした。地魚の刺身は見た目が1切れずつなのでちょっと頼りなさそうです。マグロ、鯛、牡蠣、海老、真珠貝の貝柱。マグロは可もなく不可もなくという感じ。鯛はネットリ系。牡蠣はああ、牡蠣という感じでそこまで旨味がなかったです。海老が1番美味しくて味噌まで吸い尽くすレベル。貝柱は持った時に少しねばっとしたためぬめりが残っているのかと思いきやこれはこれでいける。帆立などと違いコリコリ食感で美味しかったです。
次に出てきたのは伊勢海老のバター焼き。この身にかぶりついた時が1番伊勢海老を感じました。火を通してもブリンブリンで、味付けもよく合います。頭の味噌はかなり量が少なかったですがこれもかなり美味。もっと味噌が入っていれば…と何度も思いました。頭は意外と食べるところが少なかったです。それと殻がトゲトゲしていて食べるのが難しかったです。同時にサザエの壺焼きも出てきて、ア#海鮮好き っ張るだけで全部出てくるのは快感です。小ぶりですが苦味が少なく美味しかったです。中の汁ももちろんいただきました。
次に出てきたのが実ボス。太巻きの中に海老天が入ってます。塩味がついているのでそのまま。天ぷらが揚げたてで美味しいのですが、かなり大きく、その中に揚げ物が入ってるのでかなり重い。そして一口食べると溢れ落ちるため食べにくくもありました。海老自体はとても柔らかかったです。
刺身で出てきた頭を使った味噌汁は、海老の出汁がかなり出ているのですが、それ以外に大根や三つ葉などの具材も入っていて、特に大根の味と海老の出汁の相性が抜群。海老の殻に少しだけついている身や頭を吸い尽くし堪能しました。
これでデザートと思いきやメニューに載っていなかった伊勢海老の塩焼きが。かなり小ぶりではありましたが伊勢海老は伊勢海老。この塩焼きが一番伊勢海老の癖というか伊勢海老らしさを直に感じられました。私には好きな味です。
そして最後にデザート。コースのような定食だったのでデザートにはそこまで期待していませんでしたが、これがまた本格的でした。自家製の柿のアイスと自家製のプリン。柿のアイスは身も入っていて仄かな柿の甘みが控えめながらも爽やかに味わえます。プリンもかなり本格的で、キャラメルのほろ苦さが上に乗っているクリームとよく合います。デザート屋だったのかと思うほど美味しく、このデザートには恐れ入りました。
一部には言いたいこともある感じでしたが、総合的に見れば量も多く、大満足。値段と照らし合わせて見ればかなり安いと思えます。またこれもお酒と食べたかった…
