相方が学生時代を過ごした仙台で彼が学生時代(20年前)から、その後東京で暮らし始めても仙台に行く機会がある度に行っている活気があってほっこりする美味しい炉端焼き屋さん。
お店の中の掲示を見るともうすぐ60周年とのことなので仙台の地に根を下ろし親子二代で通っているお客様も多数。(大将とそんな会話も聞こえてくる)
今回は相方に予約をお任せしたとところ「キンキとA5牛タン串焼きセットの10品コース」でボリューム満点です。超人気店なので基本的に予約しないと入れません。
我々がお店にいる間にもひっきりなしに電話や直接アタックがありましたが、みんな「すみません、今は満席で」と退散。
もし小一時間待てる余裕があれば、まず電話で「席が空いたら入りたい」旨を伝えておけば、次のお客さんに入れ替わるタイミングで席を取ってくださる感じでしたし、カウンターの回転は早めです。
コースの品々の味は今更説明不要の美味しさ。牡蠣のクリームコロッケ、刺し盛り、もずく酢、牛タン、焼きおにぎり皆うまい。
キンキは炭火焼きと煮付けをそれぞれに注文。かなりでかい丸焼きですがとても美味しいので2人とも無言であっという間にペロリ。骨を返して締めの汁をお願いします。
ちなみに煮付け骨は味噌汁の出汁に、焼きの骨は潮汁になり、それぞれふた椀ずついただけて最高でした。
