＊First visit in April 2014＊ I decided to go drinking during a business trip to Sendai, and I was thinking of eating Cow tongue, but I also wanted to eat fish and Oyster. The nearby Cow tongue specialty restaurants, Date and Rikyu, are mostly table seating, so you can't relax... I was thinking about this when I happened to discover this restaurant. It looked brand new, so I looked at the menu outside and popped in. It's in a building, and the interior has a Japanese modern atmosphere. The female staff are also wearing kimonos. I was shown to a semi-private seat and ordered a toast with a beer. From the menu, I ordered two kinds of thick-cut Cow tongue, which I wanted to eat. I ordered a sashimi platter, sea squirt sashimi, whale bacon, and more all at once. I also wanted to eat Oyster, but for some reason they weren't on the menu. When I asked the young proprietress, she told me that they weren't currently stocking Oyster because of the recent norovirus outbreak. As the name of the restaurant suggests, there seem to be many dishes that use koji, and the same goes for Cow tongue. Cow tongue was thick-cut, comparable to a specialty restaurant, and I was very satisfied. The whale bacon was also of a very high quality. The fish had a nice sweetness from the fat and was fluffy. The sashimi included bigeye tuna, silver salmon, and bluefin tuna. The sea squirt sashimi was also juicy. The plates were elaborate and the food looked good overall, but the cost performance was also reasonable. We drank a lot of beer so we spent about 30,000 yen for three people, but normally you wouldn't go that far (lol). The young female proprietress was very friendly and talked to us about various things (^^) The drinks and snacks were delicious and we enjoyed the meal. I recommend this restaurant.
