宮城県遠征。大崎市の旧鳴子町地域は鳴子温泉郷が有名で、大きく5つの温泉街があります。
温泉街を外れた山の途中にあるそば屋さんがこちら。道中、お店あるのかと思うぐらいですが、山道を入って車で3分くらいのところのお店があります。
寒ざらしもりそば(1250円)
独特な名前の蕎麦ですが、秋に収穫した新そばを翌年2月に冷たい湧き水に浸してあく抜きし、寒風にさらして天日干しで乾燥させてからそば粉にするという方法で作られています。
一見普通の石臼挽蕎麦のように見えますが、手間をかけている分とにかく力強さが印象的なそば。そば本来の甘みももちろんあります。
そして大根おろしは辛み大根を使用しているのでとにかく辛味の強さを感じます。力強いそばと辛み大根でよりインパクトが出てきます。
もちろん最後はそば湯割り、このそば湯も力強さを感じました。
