津波被害から奇跡の復活を遂げた女川の象徴的な海鮮料理店。駅前の広場は小綺麗な店が立ち並び、軽井沢のよう。この店もその中にある。が、入り口のドアが分かりにくい。もう少し目立つようにすべき。
店内のリストに名前を書いて待つ。日曜昼で待ちは10分ほど。隣の魚屋で時間を潰すのが吉。メニューは非常に多い。観光客向けの海鮮丼が目を惹く。ホタテ、イクラ、エビ、ウニ、マグロなど。ちなみに、ウニはアメリカ(たぶんサンディエゴ)産のようだ。生け簀にクロソイやマコガレイが泳いでいたが、私は、そういう地元特産品を食べたいのだけれど。。。
刺身定食と地元の焼き牡蠣を注文。これからの季節、牡蠣メニューはマストで注文だろう。牡蠣はやや小ぶりな気がしたが、程よくミルキー。刺身はしっかりと厚く満足。スープはアラ汁でダシ出てる。
料理に文句はないが、店員の動きはイマイチ。頭数の割に生産性低い。ここに改善の余地がありそう。
