It's already been the year before last...Matsushima Imperial Villa opened. It's been over a year since then, but I stopped by for the first time. Admission is free for shoppers and tenants, but to enter the two exhibition rooms, the rooftop, and the garden, you need to purchase a ticket for ¥600/adult. Just as I was wondering what to do, the staff member... Although it cost ¥600, it came with two grilled Oyster. I'm the only one in my family who eats Oyster, but that encouraged me to buy a ticket lol. First, I ate 6 Oyster by myself at Hamayaki Grill Rikyu on the 1st floor. Some of Oyster had shells in them, probably because the staff were not used to shucking Oyster. But that's not a big problem. [b: Got a glass of water and washed it] I ate it. This technique is also used when you have all-you-can-eat Oyster. If you only eat Oyster, they are too salty and you won't be able to eat as much as you would like. If you peel it yourself, you may end up with shells in the same way. That's why we wash them with water and eat them. When you put it in your mouth, it's cool and tasteless. When you bite into it, Oyster juice and salty flavor spreads in your mouth, allowing you to enjoy its deliciousness. The impression is quite different from when you eat it as is, so it has a strange taste effect. If you like Oyster, please try it. This time we only had Oyster for this service, but there were several groups enjoying Hamayaki for lunch. Eating Hamayaki while looking out at the calm sea of Matsushima is also fun! I feel like it would be especially popular with tourists. Afterwards, we enjoyed the rooftop and exhibition room. It's good to experience these once. The garden seems to be lit up in the evening and at night, but I didn't want to wait that long, so I went to see it under the sun and went home. It seems like you don't need a ticket for shopping or eating, so I think I'll continue to use it that way.
