西都と西米良を繋ぐ219号線からしばらく外れたところにある。道中は山道であるが、整備されており幅員も概ね離合が容易な程度確保されている。
店に着くと、敷地内には広めの駐車場があった。
駐車場前には藁葺き屋根のいかにも昔の家屋といった建物がある。休憩所のようで、おそらく週末で混み合う時はこちらで過ごして待つのであろう。
食事をする建物はすぐ隣にある。
店内は座敷席のみで、5つのテーブルがある。
BGMは川のせせらぎと鳥の鳴き声。
色々な料理が楽しめる、6月のおがわ四季御膳（1300円）を注文。察するに毎月変わるということであろう。
16種類のおかずが一斉に並ぶ絵は圧巻である。
山菜、こんにゃく、佃煮、天ぷらと手の込んだ田舎料理が並ぶ。
色々なものを少しずつ食べたいという欲求をこれ以上ないほどに叶えてくれる。
どれも素材の味を大切にしており、素朴で美味い。
来た時は空腹で周りが見えていなかったが、改めて周りを見渡すと景色が素晴らしい。
かつて平成の桃源郷と呼ばれたこの地は、令和においても依然として桃源郷であった。
