長野駅東口は不毛の地という人がいる。そんなところに目利きの銀次ができた。長野の人はモンテローザグループであること知っている人は少ないのではないか。とにかくランチが混んでいるというので行ってみよう。
いっぱいだと言うから時間潰して突入。入口すぐにご飯・味噌汁お替わり無料との文字が。テーブル席にどうぞとのことなので行きましょか。テーブル席にはランチメニュー。グランドメニューは別のところに刺さっている。本日の刺身定食をご飯なし。それとハイボールをね。
しばらくすると到着。刺身は、ビンチョウ・色のないメバチ・甘エビ・養真鯛・ネギトロ的なもの。目利き感は全くない。真鯛はさすがに生かも知れないが、熟成が進んでいる。あとは、多分冷凍。ネギトロ的なのは、食用油脂の入ったもの。目利きならもう少しいいものをお願いしたい。刺身の内容を聞いたらメニュー通りとか。この内容なら毎日出せるわな。「本日の」の意味は不明。
嬉しいのはタイムサービスの酒が安いこと。それと通し営業。長野駅周辺は、あまり通し営業で飲める店が少ないので、そういう使い方はありだ。
もっとも、目利きとは、魚の善し悪しを見抜いているという意味ではないのかも知れないが。
