For dinner on the camera girls tour organized by WAKUWAKU Yamanouchi & CoTrip, we went to "HAKKO" which is a 2-minute walk from our accommodation "Kamenoyu". The restaurant, which was renovated from a greengrocer, has a high ceiling and an open feel, and the walls are made of paper screens, doors, and transoms that were donated by Ryokan where the noren was hung, creating a Japanese modern space. Here you can enjoy food and drinks made with fermented foods and ingredients from Shinshu. On this day, we had [b: "HAKKO Western-style course 8 dishes + 2 hours of all-you-can-drink"]. It is a very good deal at 4,200 yen with 2 hours of all-you-can-drink. There are more than 50 types of all-you-can-drink menu! Let's start with beer. First dish [b: Miso Caesar salad] Miso is used in the Caesar dressing. You wouldn't notice it unless you were told. But you can tell that it is different from ordinary Caesar dressing. I never thought it was miso. [b: selection] Tomato and octopus marinade with basil, sautéed mushrooms, homemade pickles? [b: Steamed seasonal vegetables - fermented dip] The fermented dip is enoki vinegar, ginger miso, mayonnaise and soy beans. The mayonnaise and soy beans dip is super delicious! Mayonnaise and soy sauce are a surefire combination. [b: Steamed clams in sake] You can eat it as a single item for 700 yen. The sourness of the lemon makes it refreshing. Choose sake from the all-you-can-drink menu. A delicious and easy-to-drink sake. A sake that goes better with meals than cold sake. [b: Salmon carpaccio] Carpaccio made with enoki vinegar. Everyone said they wanted enoki vinegar, but it seems it's not available in stores... [b: Grilled dishes] Grilled roast pork and herb chicken with soy bean sauce. The Shinshu herb chicken is marinated in salt koji before being grilled, so it is tender and has a deep flavor. And, of course, the soy bean sauce is effective. The roast pork is also tender, so I think they probably did some preparatory work beforehand. We had [b:HAKKO Apple] with it. It's a cocktail of vodka and apple juice. [b:Bolognese] I was so full! Thank you for the meal! I was surprised when I heard the name of the course later and checked Tabelog. It's really cheap. It seems that you can add a dessert for an additional 300 yen. It's nice to eat at Ryokan where you're staying, but it's also nice to eat at a restaurant that's only in Yudanaka. You can make a reservation for a course for two or more people. Most of the course menus can be ordered as single dishes, so it's nice to go out for a drink late at night. You can also drink craft beer.
