First visit for lunch as part of a family trip. On my way to Matsumoto Castle, I decided to stop by the main store in Okaya, the eel town. Hitsumabushi and Yanamabushi were also appealing, but all four of our family members ordered Kabayaki. Since it was my first visit, I couldn't go on an adventure. As I watched the birds playing in the Kiso River, the food was soon brought out. When you open the lid of the rice bowl, you'll see two pieces of plump, thick pieces of kabayaki resting on top of rice, and you can tell that it's delicious even before you eat it. After thinking about how to use the sweet sauce and wasabi sauce that the store clerk explained to me, I pulled up the kabayaki pieces one by one and sprinkled them on the rice, and used the wasabi sauce as a flavor changer. My son, who stuffed his cheeks first, let out a cry of joy. The moment I put it in my mouth, my heart was full of anticipation, and the strong sweet taste I liked filled my mouth, and I was impressed by how plump the meat was. Once I finished eating half of it, I divided the remaining half in half and added wasabi sauce to give it a different taste. I've never had it before, but it's the perfect match for Kabayaki. It leaves your mouth feeling refreshed all at once. At the end, we enjoyed Kabayaki with some Japanese pepper. It was really nice to have a tourist resort.
