長野県の南の端、山に挟まれる遠山郷を訪れました。
この辺りは、ジビエやジンギスカンが有名な地域です。
しかしながら、これらを食べられるお店は多くありません。
その一つが、ここ元家です。
お店の中に入るとお店に方に元気よく迎えていただきました。
席に案内されメニューを眺めると、ラーメンや定食が用意されていて、せっかくですからジンギスカンの定食をお願いしました。
店内にはお酒のボトルも並ぶなど、食事のほかお酒もいただけるようです。
少し待つと、プレートに焼いたジンギスカンとひじきの小鉢、それに漬物をのせて持って来てくださいました。
このお店で定食を頼んだ時は、ご飯とお味噌汁はお店の中央に用意されたジャーや鍋から自分で盛るのがルールのようです。
ジンギスカンを食べてみると柔らかく、味はジンギスカンらしい特徴がありますが食べやすく、味付けがよくておいしく食べられます。
一つひとつのピースが大きく、食べ応えがあります。
少し濃い目の味付けのジンギスカンですので、ご飯がよく進みます。
ジンギスカンの脇にはキャベツが多く盛られ、お味噌汁の中にも、豆腐、大根、キャベツ、ジャガイモ、えのきなど野菜がたっぷりで、健康的です。
お腹がいっぱいになりました。
食べている間、ここにお住まいではないかと思われる方もいらっしゃり、観光客だけでなく地域の方々にも利用されているお店のようです。
