弥彦神社の初もうで客で賑わう日にお邪魔しました。
場所は弥彦神社一の鳥居から真っすぐ街道沿いを進んで、弥彦駅へと左に折れる四つ角付近です。
出入り口には鯉が泳ぐ水槽が飾ってあります。
この日は釜めしというよりも何となくガッツリ気分でしたので、ロースかつ定食をお願いしました。
運よく4人で入った事もあって、折角だからと「だし巻き卵焼き」もサイドオーダー。
噂には聞いていましたがボリュームたっぷりで、4等分しても1人前が普通のだし巻き卵より大きい感じです。小食な方でしたらコレだけでお腹いっぱい、となりそうなサイズです。
肝心の味は申し分ありません。ほんのり甘い出汁が香るふんわり卵焼き。オーダーの際に「少しお時間が掛かります」と言われていましたが、納得の丁寧な仕事ぶりです。
熱々で幸せな黄色に輝く卵焼き、24個の卵を使った映画「ひまわり」のオムレツに匹敵するパワーを秘めていると感じました。
