I've been interested in Uokou for a long time. I contacted them and said I'd like to go tomorrow, and they gladly made a reservation for me. The restaurant has a stylish exterior and interior, and is very clean. When I made the reservation, I heard that there were 10,000 yen, 15,000 yen, and 20,000 yen courses, so I splurged and went for the 20,000 yen course. To be honest, it was the kind of restaurant I was looking for. Maybe it's because of my age. I'm craving Japanese-style meal. I sit at the counter, and the chef makes the food right in front of me, and everything I eat is delicious. Of all the delicious food, the one that left the biggest impression on me was the Karasumi soba. It was one of the courses, so the portion was small, but it was said to be homemade Karasumi. This goes well with soba. It was my first time to try Karasumi soba that had no strong flavor. Or rather, with each dish I ate, the word "delicious" just came out automatically.
