長岡にお初の宿泊。ホテルの近くにあって、お店の雰囲気も良さそうだったので当店を指名。事前に予約しての訪問です。

残念なことに活気のある１階じゃなく、ガランとした二階席へ通されちゃった。毎回電話で注文、忘れた頃にやってくる感じに。料理も良かったし、醸造酒の飲み比べもまずまずだったけど、長岡の雰囲気はまったくもって味わえず。
やっぱり「栃尾の油揚げ」が１番印象に残りました。肉厚で食べ応えあって、酒のつまみとして非常に優秀。料理に関する仲間の評価も、総じて良いものでした。
でもやっぱり２階は寂しかった。結局途中で切り上げ、いわゆる河岸を変えるってやつに。賑やかで活気のある１階で、美味しい新潟の酒と肴をいただきたかった。まぁそんなハズレくじもたまにはあるさと、仲間には慰めてもらいました。
