市内、若草公園のすぐ近くの気楽なカウンター中心の居酒屋です。
馬刺しが人気、
他所ではシャキシャキの冷凍の馬刺しを臭みを感じないので好んで食べるのですが、ここ庄八さんは熊本から仕入れるという肉で生でモチモチの弾力。
冷凍での臭み取りではなく、冷凍物を使わないからこそ、むっちりした弾力と生臭さがない甘味が味わえるとの事。
馬の赤身と真っ白なサシがとてもきれいです。
他はいわしの梅肉揚げやかも吸いがお薦めです。
