I've been making more appearances in Okayama lately, but I've only ever eaten Okayama Ramen... I'll try some of Okayama's specialties!! But I didn't do any research beforehand and ended up wandering around the city at night and found Maruya! I went to Maruya, who I heard has local ingredients! The beer was Premium Malts! I started with the recommended sashimi, Spanish mackerel, flounder, wild yellowtail, octopus, and bonito, all of which were delicious, of course! To go with the beer, Torikara, which goes perfectly with Premium Malts! I decided to try some of Okayama's specialties here, so I ordered vinegared horse mackerel and yellow chive tempura from the menu! The horse mackerel was so good that I ate all my rice and ended up borrowing some rice from the person next to me to eat! The vinegar was a little too strong, but it was delicious! I couldn't help but change to Dassai shochu! The yellow chive tempura was also delicious, with a nice texture and aroma! For the final course, we had "Bizen Bara Sushi". Before I knew it, it had been divided into small portions and I forgot to take a good photo (lol). Sushi also had a strong vinegar flavor, giving it a slightly mature taste! It had a slightly nostalgic feel that I like as an old man! I wish it was non-smoking... Thank you for the delicious meal!!!
