倉敷の昔からある蔵を改装した建物
二階の小上がりの板の間にある天井の梁はその当時のまま使って改装している
履き物は一階で脱いで階段を上がり、ロケ地の橋の近くにある蔵構えの外観が壮観である
店頭の入り口から入ると中庭の樹々がライトアップされていて雰囲気もいい

学名をニシン科のサッパという魚でこの魚を食卓に出すとあまりに
美味しいので、つい飯（まま）を食べ過ぎて隣の家から飯を借りてきたために
”ままかり”という名をつけられたと言われ、このままかりはまさしく
岡山の魚であり、代表的なふるさとの味
