After shopping, I went to "Takesei" on the first floor of Ario Kurashiki for lunch. I've been to the main store in Takamatsu, but this was my first visit. I entered the self-service line, ordered and received my udon, passed Tempura corner, paid, then used the pot to heat the udon myself and poured the broth over it. It's been a while since I've used a pot^^ I ordered "Takesei Udon", a combination of udon noodles with chikuwa tempura and soft-boiled egg tempura. The broth is made with dried sardines, so it's not very strong, but it's well-balanced. The udon is medium-thin, with a moderate firmness and a slight chewiness, and it goes down smoothly. Tempura is brought to your table fresh, which is a nice service (*^^*) The soft-boiled egg tempura is a specialty of our restaurant, and if you eat it in a bowl, the yolk will dissolve in the broth, so I think it's better to have it on a separate plate. It's different from the main store in many ways, but it's still nice to be able to enjoy dried sardine broth in Kurashiki city! !
