We had a luxurious lunch at Mr. Kikukawa, the fourth generation eel on the B2F of Hilton Plaza West near Osaka Station. I took the plunge and chose Hitsumabushi. I was seated at the counter, where I could watch the eel being grilled over charcoal, and my stomach acid continued to rise until it was delivered! The eel is crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's great no matter when you eat it. There were two types of Japanese pepper, so you could compare them, enjoy the different flavors, and spend an elegant afternoon. Also, I would definitely like to visit when I come to Osaka.
