大阪市西区の江戸堀にある、2016年10月17日にオープンした『うどん居酒屋 江戸堀』。
昼はうどん店、夜はうどんも楽しめる居酒屋として営業しているお店。
こちらは大阪市東成区の玉造にある「極楽うどん TKU」に始まり、現在大阪市内に「極楽うどん Ah-麺」、「にんにく肉うどん ましや」、「うどんと酒とお出汁と、」等を展開している「極楽うどんグループ」の3号店として誕生したのれん分け店だそうです。
食べログのうどん百名店には2017～2020年と4年連続で選出されていました。
「極楽うどんグループ」は「極楽うどん TKU」と「極楽うどん Ah-麺」に行ったことがありますが、どちらも美味しいのでお気に入り。
3号店もきっと美味しいと思い、行ってみることにしました。
場所は地下鉄四ツ橋線の「肥後橋駅」8番出口から徒歩3分の距離。
駐車場は近隣コインパーキングを利用。
この日は土曜日、お店には18時40分頃の到着。
この時店内は客入り4割くらいでした。
夜はうどん居酒屋としてがメインですが、うどん単品での注文も可能なので、今回は人気NO.1メニューの『鶏天カレーうどん』を注文！
うどんは中盛が無料、せっかくなので中盛でいただきます。
【鶏天カレーうどん 中盛500g】1050円(税込)
ボリューム満点の鶏天は3個、カレーの中にはお肉と玉ねぎも少し入っていました。
カレーはうどんによく絡むドロッととろみのある質感。
爽快なスパイスの風味に、じんわりと広がる和出汁の味わい、見た目とは裏腹にかなりあっさりとしています。
辛さは最初ピリ辛くらいに感じましたが、食べ進めると結構効いてきて、どんどん汗をかいてきました。
うどんは極太でしっかりコシのあるモッチモチの食感。
時間が経っても伸びずに最後までモチモチでした。
鶏天は揚げたてのカリッとした衣。
柔らかな肉質でジューシー、下味しっかりめでカレーにつけてもそのまま食べても美味しかったです。
こちらのグループのうどんは温かいうどんはモチモチ、冷やしはグミ系のコシ強めの食感、まさに「剛麺」という言葉がピッタリの手打ちうどんで、本当に美味しいですね。
