大阪、京都等、関西圏で勤務経験があれば、がんこさんの系列は宴会利用で馴染みのある方は多いと思う。位置づけは会社の宴会場。5千円チョイの価格帯で、お屋敷で仲居さんが料理を給仕してくれる等、プチ晴れの日使い向き。
過去、高瀬川二条店(旧山縣有朋別邸)を利用したり、お気に入りの立飲みの大将ががんこさん出身だったりと好意を持っている系列。
当店は天満駅から至近。スーパー玉出の2軒北の天神橋筋商店街沿いの店舗。過去何度となく前を通っているが訪問は初めて。
持帰りの鯖の棒寿司のみを購入するだけの客に対し、待ち時間にお茶とおしぼりを出してくれる等、丁寧な接客が心に残る。接客が充実しているのは、がんこさんの特徴・強み。
一方、鯖の棒寿司は、やや寂しい出来栄え。北海道産の真昆布と紀州産の真鯖を使用とのことだが、鯖はパサパサで味が抜けてしまっている。先行レビューで、著名なレビュアーの方が当店の鯖の棒寿司を高評価し、少し期待していたので、かなりの不完全燃焼感あり。京都の寿司のれん会のお店の鯖寿司は2千円～3千円くらいするので、価格を考えれば仕方ないのかもしれないが、「旨い 安い」の看板を掲げる寿司店なので、もう少し頑張って欲しい。
