京橋で安く寿司を食えるのかな、と気になっている店があった。
それは「平八亭京橋別館店」という店なんだけど。そもそも別館とか本館とかの違いさえ認識さえしてなかった。
とりあえず店の前を通りがかって、特定の曜日に寿司が半額なんだ、という情報だけがずっと脳裏にあった。
店先で“半額”がアピールされていて、そこに表記されている価格から半額かとうっかり思っちゃいそうだが既に半額になった金額が記載されている。
まぁ、なにはともかく半額ならばと釣られて店に入ってみた。
なかなかゴージャス和風なエントランス、このとき日曜の昼過ぎだったが“只今の時間は２階へ”との案内があったから、夜しかフル稼働にならない店なのかな。
上階へ上がってみると、実際のところ空いていた。
席に案内されてメニューを眺め、エビスマイスターなるビールを瓶で。
ちょっと、お高い。
寿司のほか、一品もいろいろある。
あまり価格帯は安くなく感じて、必死に安いものを探した。
ひらまさお造り、４５０円也。
ちょっと、量的に寂しい。
刺身には日本酒だなと思うも、どうも酒は高い。
そう思ったが、それは卓上に置かれたメニューでは高めのものが紹介されているだけだった。
安い日本酒もあったし、エビスマイスターのほかにビールもあるのだと判った。
そこで、安い日本酒を注文。
一品料理も同様で、卓上に置かれた品書きの他に安いものがあった。
サーモンのハラス焼きを。
じっくり焼かれていて、とても酒のアテになったから酒をおかわり。
なんというか、単価の高いメニューに誘導しようとするのは、得策ではないかと。
曜日限定の寿司半額で釣るのではなく、安くない品も安い品もありますと、ありていに示せばいいんじゃないかな。
そのほうが客が来るのでは。
カッパ巻きと、ねぎとろを。
寿司半額だからって、注文した寿司はこれだけだ。
支払いは3,800円ほどだったか、まぁそれなりには使った範疇ではないかな。
結局のところ酒飲みは、半額になっているものだけを執拗に注文という使い方はしない、と思う。
だから、半額どうこうでなく普通に営業したらいいんじゃないかな。
