13時過ぎに訪問。1階にテーブルが3卓、未確認ながら2階席もあります。渋い昭和の洋食屋さんか喫茶店の雰囲気です。
ビフテキやカツなどの肉料理が有名ではありますが、ご飯ものがリーズナブルで揃っています。
店名を冠したスエヒロライスをオーダー。900円。
すぐにらっきょうと福神漬の薬味容器が運ばれます。
7分ほどで本体も到着。
スエヒロライスはドライカレーとケチャップライスの中間のような料理。上にたくさんの錦糸卵が乗っています。ドライカレーほどカレー粉の香りが立っているのではありませんが、ほのかにスパイスが効いていました。ケチャップなどを入れるとべちゃつくことが多いもの。ここは料理の方の技術が素晴らしいようでべちゃつきはありません。むしろ炒飯のようにパラパラに近い感じ。初めてだったのでオプションにはしませんでしたが、生卵をトッピングすればまた違った美味しさがあるでしょう。
海外のガイドブックに出ているようなお店はどこも満席。このお店も掲載されれば大人気は間違いなし。個人的には一見さんが増えるよりも愛好家が集うお店であって欲しい。それくらい大事にしたいお店でした。
