Narutoya Bakery was founded in 1934 (Showa 9). It started as a small bakery in Katae-cho, Higashinari Ward, opened by the previous owner, Kiyoichi Nagae. Kiyoichi's wish was to bring dreams to people
...through bread and cakes. In order to convey this wish to more people, the restaurant opened a food and beverage department in 1978 (Showa 53). The sandwich house attached to the bakery was named Jimmy. It was a space where you could enjoy not only their famous sandwiches, but also freshly baked bread lined up in the bakery. Although there are many bakeries with cafes attached these days, such stores were rare at the time. Delivering delicious bread and cakes and allowing people to spend a relaxing time savoring them. Narutoya and Jimmy, which were realized from Kiyoichi's wish, continue to provide a relaxing time for many people as an oasis in the local area.
