My wife's birthday is in November. To celebrate my birthday in January of this year, we treated ourselves to a course meal from our home town of sea fish and spiny lobster in Minato Ward. This time, I chose Kisodani, which is also located in Minato Ward, for my wife's birthday celebration. It is unusual for there to be two lobster restaurants in the same ward, but this is also a kappo restaurant that is famous for its lobster dishes. First visit on Saturday at 7pm with advance reservation. Access: 1 minute walk from Yawataya bus stop on the Osaka City Bus bound for Tempozan. 7 minutes walk from Asashiobashi subway station. There is a shop on Minato Street. The restaurant has counter seats and raised tatami seats on the first floor, and a large tatami room on the second floor that can accommodate 40 people. I was guided to a horigotatsu-style room in the back. There are only three female staff members. There were no male staff. For fried lobster or Tempura, choose Tempura. First of all, an appetizer will appear. Small dish of yam strips, seasoned enoki mushrooms, and kelp tsukudani. As for drinks, I didn't have bottled beer, so I had draft beer, and my wife had chuhai and green apple. After waiting for more than 10 minutes, the sashimi was ready. The main dish is spiny lobster, but also tuna, sea bream, yellowtail, and squid. The antennae of the spiny lobster are still moving slowly. It looks like a spiny lobster that was alive until just now. The size is decent. The fillets are cream-colored. As expected, I would like to try the prepared Ise lobster first. It has just the right amount of elasticity and sweetness, and is definitely delicious. The other sashimi placed around it is a side dish, but has a decent taste. The portion is quite large for two people. Next came lobster Tempura. This is also centered around spiny lobster, surrounded by tempura of shishito, lotus root, shiitake mushroom, shimeji, and Tempura. Serve with salt and pepper. The bright red lobster is not just a garnish, it's also part of the body. I was given a crab fork and plucked the crab out of the shell. It looks like two small lobsters are used in this Tempura. There is volume. And the highlight of the lobster-filled dish is the lobster miso soup. Those who have tasted this will know this, but the indescribable essence of spiny lobster oozes out and gives it an exquisite taste. This miso soup soaked into my stomach the most. This also contains the head of a whole lobster in a bowl. It's Crabfork's turn again. I have never had the experience of eating so many spiny lobsters in my life. For drinks, we had Hakutsuru's Japanese sake hot sake 2 go and local sake Shinshu Kirei and Nagasaki Fukuda. Both local sakes are slightly carbonated. I finished the meal by drinking Suijin Soda. Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) which has a lot of ingredients and is burnt, is also a specialty of Kiso Valley. The aroma and taste of the soup stock are good. Apparently it tastes good even when it's cold. There was easily enough for three bowls. The seasonal fruits are Kyoho grapes and apples. The pickles are cucumber and pickled radish. We added dashimaki egg and konnyaku dengaku to go with sake. My wife had a total of three chuhai and cocktails. I was happy that unlike Furusato, there were many types of local sake. Established in 1971 as a robatayaki restaurant. The name of the shop, Kisoya, comes from the owner's name, Soya, with the word wood added to it. It seems that he is not from Kiso, but from Banshu Ako. Tancho, a chawanmushi Ramen near Kaiyukan, and Cafe Maruki seem to be related. I paid by card. It was 2,000 yen more expensive than I calculated, so the price may have increased by 1,000 yen due to the rise in the price of spiny lobster. Ise lobster dishes are not often eaten, but since they are an auspicious ingredient, I think they are perfect for celebrations and anniversaries. Now I don't have to eat spiny lobster for a while (lol) It's a great meal.
