Sojiji Station Kisen Budget: around 4-5,000 yen - Assortment of 5 types of specially selected Seafood-Seafood soup and chazuke - Grilled Cow tongue sashimi -Cow tongue Gyoza / Dumpling, fries, milt with ponzu sauce Sojiji is a very popular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located at Sojiji Station and Ibaraki City Station. I've lived here for over three and a half years, but I've never been to a restaurant in the neighborhood, so I decided to give it a try before I moved, so I visited here for the first time. It's very popular, with a crowd of people that you wouldn't expect from Sojiji Temple. Fully booked The interior of the restaurant consists of a counter and a tatami room, and the restaurant is run by a lovely couple, giving it the feel of a famous local restaurant. From my first impression, I really liked the restaurant's famous menu items, such as sashimi and beef tongue. Ordered the grilled and horse sashimi. The sashimi was luxurious with medium fatty bluefin tuna and sea urchin.Everything was fresh and delicious. The grilled Cow tongue and horse sashimi are also the restaurant's specialties, so you'll want to eat double the amount shown in the photo. Deliciousness All of the other dishes in the photos were delicious, but Seafood dashi chazuke I ordered at the end was so delicious that I was blown away. Not only was the pickled sashimi delicious, but the soup stock was so delicious that it soaked into my body. It was a very good Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that was very popular with the locals. I wish I had known about it earlier and stopped by while I was living in Sojiji...
