[2-minute walk from JR Saga Station] A cozy Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) you can enjoy fresh seafood and wagyu beef offal at reasonable prices
Our restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes that focus on the deliciousness of the ingredients. The menu is diverse, including our specialty "stone-grilled horumon," yakitori, and fresh seafood. Se |
At Saga Station, I was turned down by the restaurant I had originally planned to go to, and while I was walking around, I discovered something called Ekimae Yokocho. They have Takoyaki, yakitori, ramen, etc. I thought I'd go for yakitori! I went in because I was in the mood for yakitori, but I was attracted by the stewed horumon on the menu, so I ordered it. First, a beer! Fruity!! Delicious! The foam isn't pretty, but it's the best drink after work. The appetizer is a spicy salad of dried gourd, wakame seaweed, and cucumber with sesame oil and a little chili pepper. The seasoning is just right and it's delicious. I waited about 8 minutes, which I felt was a relatively long wait. It was 980 yen for the stewed horumon, but it came with about 7 round fish, some mysterious horumon, and potatoes. Yanninjan? It was very oily, so I think 980 yen is expensive for this. It seems you can add Champon noodles or rice for 300 yen, but it's expensive. The shop is at the back of an alley and has both a counter and tables so you can casually drop in. It's fine even if you're alone. The service was good and the staff were energetic. Looking at the prices of other items it did seem a little on the pricey side but if I have the opportunity I'd come again!
