We visited the Tempura Shinjuku Tsunahachi Urawa branch on the 7th floor of the Isetan Urawa branch in Takasago, Urawa Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. It is located about a 1-minute walk from the west exit of JR Urawa Station, making it easy to access from the train. Even if you drive by car, there is a shared parking lot, which is convenient. Tempura Tsunahachi first opened its doors in Shinjuku Kakuzu in 1922, and has since expanded throughout the country to include the Tokyo metropolitan area, Sapporo, Toyama, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka. You can enjoy authentic Edomae Tempura. There are 41 seats, 34 table seats, and 7 counter seats. If you sit at the counter, you can watch Tempura being fried right in front of you, which will whet your appetite. It's nice to sit at the counter so you can enjoy freshly fried food. This time I ordered shrimp, squid, maitake, smelt, lotus root, conger eel, and small Ten-don (tempura rice bowl). The crispy battered Tempura was piping hot and delicious. Sake and Tempura go well together, so you can also enjoy drinking alcohol. I think it can be used in a wide variety of situations, such as family meals, business dinners, and entertaining business associates.
