23年6月に投稿、訪問した日からだいぶ後ですが備忘として残しておきます。
今月も温故知新月間ということで昔訪れた店を再発掘・補完していきたいと思います。
おでん巡り旅、今回は埼玉の浦和へ・・という前に寄り道1軒目として贅沢にうなぎをいただこうということで「萬店」さんを選びました。
選択条件は夕方16時ごろに営業している店で評価が高そうなところ・・ということでだいぶ店舗が絞られてしまいました。うなぎ屋さんだとお昼からやってるところは割とあると思ったのですが、夜まで継続して明けてるところが意外に少ない感じです。
こちらは行ってみてわかったのですが、広い駐車場を兼備した店舗面積がそれなりに大きい郊外型店舗（ロードサイド店舗？）のようで、従業員も多いファミレスのようなうなぎ屋さんですかね。（だからファミレスのように日中の時間帯はオープンしている感じかな）
当日、仕事は早当番・早上がりで店を目指しますが、浦和と名の付く駅は難しい・・こちらの店は「中浦和駅」が最寄りですので田町からは埼京線に乗り換えて比較的楽に行けます（そこらへんも選択する際に考慮に入れてます）
その日はかなりの大雨です。駅の高架下から店までは500mもないはずなのに足元をずぶ濡れにしながら店に到着です。
店内は客は1人もいません。コロナ禍真っ最中の16時過ぎという変な時間ということが多分に関係していると思いますが・・
窓際の席に案内されてメニューを確認します。
おそらくこんな感じで注文したと思いますが、メニューの料金体系やセットがわかりづらくて（見ようによっては1000円くらい違いそう(^-^;）、どのメニューが発動したのか結果的には支払った料金から判断しましたｗ

＋肝吸い
プラス100円で肝吸いにできるようなのでそちらにチェンジ、彩セットというのが「鯉のあらい」がオプションで付くんだろうと判断しましたｗ
こちらの店ではうなぎのほかに鯉料理も扱っているようで「鯉濃」や「鯉のあらい」がいただけるようで自分としてはそちらの期待値が高かったです。
鯉料理は意外に経験が少なくて千葉の有名店で30年くらい前に食べたことがあるくらいかもしれません・・鯰にしろ鯉にしろ川魚よりさらに池／沼の魚はさらに処理が難しいのかめっちゃ高いですからね・・
果たして、どんなお味でしょうか、「鯉のあらい」がやってきます。（それように軽く日本酒も注文してます）
身は赤身、ザラザラとした食感で歯ごたえは堅めです。いわゆる想像通りってやつですかね。
臭みはなく美味しいですね。
何に一番近いかといわれるとなかなか難しいものがあります。強いてあげるなら浜松で食べた生の「うなぎ」でしょうかね・・あちらはもう少し脂分がありましたが（あと小骨も(^-^;）
いろいろ感慨深く鯉をいただいているとメインのうなぎがやってきました。
ランクは竹です、松はさすがに行けなかったけど、梅よりは上ですからそれなりに一生に一度食べられるかどうかのレベルのうなぎのはずです。
はい。めちゃくちゃ美味しいです。
舌の上でとろけるうなぎの柔らかさ、極上のたれを吸い込んだ香り立つ白飯
そのコラボレーションはこの世の食べ物の中でも最高傑作と評してよいでしょう。
この蒸したうなぎのやわらかさを極上と思うのは自分が根っからの関東人だなと思う瞬間でもありますねｗ
愛知の豊川でいただいたときは蒸さないのでパリッという食感を楽しむタイプですから・・
このあと自分はこんなうまいうな重を何回食べられるのだろか・・
そんなことを思いながら店を後にしました。
