Roast chicken cooked on a custom-made grill! A variety of spices sourced locally from overseas markets.
Our restaurant just opened on April 15th this year. One of our selling points is roast chicken! To grill this roast chicken, we manufactured a custom grill overseas, the only one of its kind in the wo |
Breakfast and lunch on a day off. My husband, T Ichiro, my eldest daughter, A-ko, and I decided on this restaurant after searching Tabelog. No one answered the phone after 11 o'clock, but we went anyway and saw an "OPEN" sign. It's close to our house, but not within walking distance. I'm glad there was a good parking lot. It was dark when we entered the restaurant. A male staff member (of Southeast Asian descent) showed us to our seat and then called the owner, saying "Please wait a moment!" The owner was also of Southeast Asian descent. T Ichiro ordered Meek's Original Chicken Curry (with rice or naan, salad, and drink), I ordered Meek's Original Meat Sauce Neapolitan Set (with salad and drink), and A-ko ordered Chicken Rice Set (with salad and drink). Apparently the chicken rice takes a while to make. Drinks include coffee, soft drinks under 350 yen, and a glass of red or white wine. The set is a great deal because the price is 250 yen different from the single item. The salad came first. It was more than enough for a set salad. It's hard to tell the amount in the photo, but it's a deep bowl and a small bowl is filled with a heaping amount. You can choose from Japanese, Caesar, and sesame dressings, but this one is the familiar QP... The chicken curry is plentiful and spicy. The cream comes separately, so you can adjust the spiciness. The naan is not teardrop-shaped like the ones you get at Indian Curry restaurants, but is more like a round chapati? It comes wrapped in a beautiful napkin. It also contains bone-in chicken and potatoes. It's an addictive spicy curry. The meat sauce Neapolitan doesn't have many ingredients, but it's full of cheese. It's tomato-based, but it's a taste I've never had before. It might be a bit boring to eat alone, but since I shared it, I also put a lot of sauce on the naan. That's why I added naan. Chicken rice. Recently, they've been selling Khao Man Gai that can be cooked in a rice cooker, but the rice is chewy, the chicken is soft, and it's really delicious. And there are three kinds of sauce. The ginger sauce in the middle is especially delicious! It comes with soup. The owner said, "I'll give you two more soups for free." Of course we had them. It was a light chicken soup, but you could tell it was made well. They must have cooked the rice in this chicken soup. Finally, we got drinks. We asked for them with the meal, but we didn't mind. Because we could tell they were making it for us. We were the only customers from start to finish. The total bill was less than 3,000 yen. We were so satisfied and full! Apparently you can get the roast chicken and chicken curry as takeaway. It's in a slightly inconvenient residential area, but we'll definitely be coming back.
