2023年5月某日の13時過ぎに訪ねた。
浦和駅から徒歩3,4分ほどの場所にあるオープンしてそれほど経っていない感じの蕎麦屋「手打ち蕎麦 しば田」。
程好い広さで清潔感のある店内には先客5名ほど。
テーブル席に1人で座り、ランチメニューから「お刺身丼とおそば（もり）」¥1,250を注文した。
10分ほど待って料理が提供される。
刺身の漬けが乗ったお刺身丼ともりそば、小鉢料理、漬物の組み合わせ。
まずは手打ちの蕎麦を少し箸に取って食べてみる。風味がやや強めで良い塩梅の麺。
つゆに潜らせて蕎麦を食べてみると、カエシの効いたつゆと細めの麺が味わえる。喉越しの良さもあり、江戸の蕎麦を味わっている感じが楽しめる。
小鉢にはひじきと野菜を和えた一品。ほんのり甘みを感じるおかずをつまんでからお刺身丼を食べる。
マグロとサーモンの漬けを盛り込んだ丼。刺身らしさは感じないが、まかない丼のような存在が上質なもりそばには合っている。わさびをしっかり効かせながら丼を堪能する。漬物も良いアクセントになっている。
もりそばを薬味を使いつつ楽しむ。わさびの刺激が蕎麦にマッチして心地好く味わえる。
そばと丼を良いバランスで食べてランチを満喫する。
もりそばは最後そば湯でつゆを割って最後まで味わい尽くす。濃厚なつゆの味の深みをしみじみ感じる。ボリューム的には物足りなさはあるが、上品な蕎麦のランチであった。
浦和駅近くに出来た良い蕎麦屋。ランチの満足度が高かったので、次回は夜につまみと日本酒を楽しんで最後に蕎麦で〆てみたい。
