On Wednesday night, when it was as hot as if the rainy season had ended, we made our first visit to Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), a restaurant we had been super curious about for some time! We made a reservation for 5:00 p.m. and hit "Japanese Dining Hajime"! I know they say they are forecasting a Maebo Yabo something or other, but since they reopened for regular business on the 1st, I still want to personally support such a restaurant. So, after an absence of about half a year? We started off our first drink outside with a glass of Premol to "secure our airway" and a "campa-yay"! The cold, fresh ruby soaks into my throat. It's great! From the recommended menu of the day, we ordered "raw Oyster", "young sweetfish Tempura", "fried corn on the cob Oyster", "gratin with shell ", "4 kinds of sashimi", and "fried taro" for otsumami! From the second glass, we started the sake comparison, which we had been aiming for! We started with a very popular summer sake, Senkori Kabutomushi, followed by a long-overdue Sakunohana Junmai Daiginjo Oorigarami, Mutsu Hachisen Summer Ginjo, and finally a Takejaku Special Junmai warmed up in a shibu-chi! The bill came to about 5,000 yen, but we were able to compare sake and otsumami, so it was a great meal. I was concerned about the fact that smoking is allowed, but since the restaurant is well ventilated in this day and age, it hardly bothered me at all. Next time, I will most likely sit at the counter for a quiet drink and a bite to eat! I give this restaurant a total rating of 3.8 stars!
