On Thursday, after hiking in Saitama Prefecture, I got off the Tobu train at Sakado Station. There are a few restaurants on the south exit side, and I stopped by Ukai. I sat at a counter seat and had my temperature taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus. I ordered a draft beer and was served a side of tofu. It seemed to be a popular restaurant and was busy. Looking at the menu, it seems a little expensive. We ordered some food. It seems like the restaurant specializes in fish, but I mainly ordered seafood from the land. It seemed like they were particular about their food, so I had to wait a little while for the food. I started eating Caesar salad by myself, a salad that is meant to be shared among several people. I often eat these because they buy me time, fill me up, and feel healthy. It had a lot of ingredients, including one hot spring egg, shredded salami, diced cheese, and lots of croutons. The cheese was probably natural cheese, and it felt like it was plentiful and a good value. Teppan-yaki Gyoza / Dumpling had plenty of juice, and both the meat and skin were delicious. It came with bean sprouts, but this was unnecessary. It's not cheap, but I ended up ordering a lot of things. There were several staff members and it was easy to order. The craft beer Ao Oni has a unique hop flavor, and it's nice to be able to enjoy this kind of eccentricity. It was delicious. I'm grateful that a store like this, which is not a chain, is working hard.
