ラグビーファンにはお馴染みの熊谷。
今年は乗り鉄の私が嬉しくなる「高崎線開業140周年」と言う事で、
いつにも増してイベントの多い駅周辺です。
そんなイベント帰りに、ひと休みしながら腹ごしらえに丁度良い食事処でした。
熊谷駅から徒歩2分ほどで、大通りを一つ奥に入った隠家…と言うか
友達の家に「おじゃましま～す」的なノリで訪問したい
古民家をリノベーションした食事処です。
今までの古民家カフェなど体験した中で個人的には
１番原型をとどめている雰囲気の個室居酒屋かな。
今回私の通された部屋は少し狭めの和室でザブトンに座るタイプ。
ちゃぶ台のようなテーブルの上に並んでいくオーダーしたメニューたちは
友人宅の夕食と言った穏やかな気持ちで楽しめます。
かと言って出されるメニューのレベルが素人化と言うと
そんなことは無く、驚くほど鮮度の良い刺身の盛り合わせ
「若返りの鮮魚玉手箱」１人前890円（二人前からオーダー可）や
脂の乗り、焼き加減共に最高の「自家製 銀だら西京焼き」990円には
特に驚きました！
正直メニューの種類はそんなに多くはありませんが
値段の安さとクオリティーの高さのギャップにメロメロ。
懐はやせ細らないのに、お腹は満腹間違いない食事と言えます。
季節に合わせ置いてある日本酒と一緒に
「ばぁばの漬盛り」590円がシンプルにやたら美味しかったのは何故だろう？！
個人的には「根らっきょうの生ハム巻き」690円も
シンプルなうまさがありツボりました。
珍しい所では、「富山湾 白海老の唐揚げ」
魚の串揚げ各種が美味しかったのでオススメかな～。
あんまり魚類が美味しかったので
ついお腹いっぱいになって、鶏のから揚げを食べ損ねましたがｗ
たぶん、この雰囲気だと唐揚げも絶対に美味しそうな予感。
寒い日に温かい部屋で冷たいビールと
揚げたての唐揚げ～～～なんてのも最高に楽しそう。
駅から徒歩2分だから
ほろ酔い加減でも迷うことなく駅に向かえるのも助かります。
鮮魚などのメニューは当日の仕入れで変わりますので
その点は気になるようでしたらご確認くださいませ。
熊谷駅周辺には、幻のかき氷屋さんや人気のパン屋さんなどもあるので
最後の仕上げに、ここでひと休みしていくのも良いかも。
