I visited on the first day of the four-day holiday in the second half of Golden Week. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:50. Luckily, I was able to enter without lining up. The restaurant is located right in front of Seibu Chichibu Station. It's a one or two minute walk. It's a little tucked away. The restaurant was full because it was Golden Week. It's a soba restaurant during the day, Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) at night, and children are not allowed in at night. Even a three-year-old was allowed in at lunch. I ordered walnut soba and tempura soba. It took about 30 minutes from ordering to being served. The restaurant is run by about four people, and it seemed like they couldn't keep up with the cooking for the orders. The tempura soba and walnut soba were served at the same time. What impressed me was the dipping sauce for the walnut soba. It looked like a thin sauce, but it had a strong dashi flavor and the walnut flavor was excellent, so it was very delicious. The soba was also very chewy. The tempura for the tempura soba was shrimp, maitake Tempura, sweet potato, shishito pepper, and eggplant. It went perfectly with the tempura sauce. Payment is cash only, and the parking lot seems to be able to accommodate 2-3 cars. Part of the monthly parking lot was used as the restaurant's parking lot.
