1年前に同じ地区にある近江牛の専門店「毛利志満」に行ったのですが
さほど高級なメニューを注文しなかったせいもありますが、
近江牛を堪能したとはいえず不完全燃焼で終わってしまいました。
今回は、それなりに贅沢をして近江牛を味わおうと「岡喜本店」に行きました。
（現在、毛利志満は改装休業中です）
外見は、毛利志満の方が立派に感じましたが、
店内は、岡喜も負けず劣らずでなかなかいい雰囲気です。
最初は、入口に近いテーブル席に案内されましたが
焼き肉コースを注文することになったので
奥のコンロのある堀炬燵席へ移動しました。
その際の、店員さんの接客もとても感じよかったですね。
私は、希少部位三種盛り焼き肉コース。
妻は、シェフのお勧めコース、近江牛懐石膳（ロース）
詳しい説明は省略して、どちらも普段は滅多に食べることのない
申し分ない美味しいお肉を堪能しました。
コース料理なので、前菜からメインメニューまで二人の店員さんが
順次、運んで来るのですが、その態度もとても感じよく、
終始、気持ちよく食事が出来ました。
本店に来る前に、近くの三井アウトレットパークに寄ったのですが
アウトレットの中に岡喜の支店がありますが、
軽い食事ならともかく、本格的に近江牛を食べたかったらやっぱり本店がいいですね。
ふだん、ちょっと贅沢にお酒を飲みに行くとすぐに1万円コースになってしまいますが
５０００円前後でこれだけ美味しいお肉が食べられるのなら申し分ありません。
再訪度 ★★★★☆ です。
わざわざ食べ行くにはちょっと遠すぎますが
こちら方面に行く機会があったらぜひ立ち寄りたいお店です。
すぐ近くに日帰り温泉もあることですし。
