One of Kappa Sushi's popular fairs, the "Kappa Sea Urchin & Salmon Roe Festival," will be held again in 2024. Committed to the price that only Kappa Sushi can offer, we are offering "Sea Urchin Wrappe |
There is no Kappa Sushi in my hometown of Fukui Prefecture, so I went there to try it out. The system for selecting squid at the reception is a mystery. After about 10 minutes, I was called and shown to the counter. It was a touch panel, and unlike Sushiro, it was removable, so it was easy. The types of ingredients seem to be different compared to Sushiro and Hama Sushi. Are there relatively many special ingredients? You can order up to four plates at a time. For those who want to order in bulk, it is a hassle to have to press the order button each time. Also, when pressing the next button or category button, there were many false reactions, so I had to delete them many times. The ordered items are either brought to you directly or by train. For the train, it seems that you take the plate and then press the return button on the panel. I ordered Fatty Albino Maguro and several 100 yen per piece ingredients, and found that the ingredients were very sloppy. The parts that were not cut well had traces of being torn by hand, as if they were cut by an amateur. It was messy. Even the one-piece roll, does it have ingredients on it? I thought so, some of them had only a single piece of topping. It was so bad that it was a world apart from Sushiro and Hama Sushi. It's not that it's value for money, it just looks awful. The toppings fall out as a matter of course, and some people just silently and unfriendlyly hand over the plates you ordered. They were young, so they might have been working part-time at university. I had Ramen for the last meal. They had some kind of tonkotsu Ramen called "Nagahama's Number One?", so I ordered that. It was handed to me directly by an older lady shop assistant. It was okay because they said it was Ramen. Thin noodles with a light tonkotsu soup. The taste was not strong and it was relatively easy to eat. Sushi was light, so I would have preferred something richer. It was a safe Ramen. I had tonkotsu Ramen around Hikone for lunch, but this tonkotsu Ramen was also light and easy to eat. I wonder if Shiga has a lot of light ramen? Anyway, I will never come to Kappa Sushi again.
