It was a day off...but
I visited Tanigumiyama Kegonji Temple in Gifu Prefecture, but even though I saw the shops lining the approach, I couldn't feel like eating at all. When I looked at my watch, it was still before noon, so I remembered my lunch at Sushi Fumoto in Maibara, so I skipped the expressway and got off at Maibara IC, thinking I might be able to make it in time.I got there with plenty of time to spare. When I entered the store, I thought it was strange because there was no one to greet me, but I was told that today (Monday the 18th) is a closed day and they are not open for lunch! But (maybe I had a reservation for a banquet?), I received a warm comment saying, ``I can handle a simple Seafood meal.'' I've always thought that the taste of fish is exquisite, so I was brazen even though it was a regular holiday. But thank you for your help. After being led to the empty second floor and waiting for a while, the chirashi Sushi like the one in the photo arrived! ! This is it, this is what I wanted to eat. Each item was fresh and very delicious. I had no idea they were able to accommodate my sudden visit and provide me with such delicious chirashi Sushi! ! I guess he remembered that I had taken takeaway the exquisite mackerel Sushi several times before, and asked why it was impossible. Next time, I will definitely follow the store's rules and go on a business day. Last time I went there, I didn't know they were closed, so this time I went on a business day. Before restaurant was renovated, you sat in front of a long counter and the food was served over the counter. Now that it has been beautifully renovated, you have to take off your shoes and be led upstairs to sit at a table, which feels like a little more effort. Before the renovation, regulars were always eating there, but after the renovation, it was open for lunch and I didn't see any lunch customers even at 12:30. I guess it became difficult to get in (´;ω;`) I was guided to the second floor and ordered. Seafood Bowl that I had been forced to serve before was delicious, so I decided to have the ``Fresh Fish Sushi Meshi Gozen'' with my passenger. There was a bit of a wait, but the grilled mackerel was freshly grilled, Tempura was freshly fried, and the food was prepared after the order was placed, so the wait was worth it. First, let's start with vegetables (lol) and a salad, then move on to the main Seafood. The sushi rice is a little sweet, but it goes well with the fresh ingredients, and it's like having nigiri sushi. Tempura was a little modest with eggplant, pumpkin, and shrimp, but the light tempura sauce brought out the flavor of the ingredients and was delicious. I had some Tentsuyu left over, so I tried drinking it directly, but the soup stock was strong and I was able to finish it very deliciously. This is my first time experiencing this (lol) The grilled Spanish mackerel was well-cooked, but the meat was moist, and it was grilled well so that you could enjoy the flavor of the mackerel. Both Tempura and the grilled food taste like dishes that I would like to order separately, and I can really feel the chef's cooking skills. Small dish was a simple dip of komatsuna and crab sticks, but it had a strong taste with a hint of the flavor of sesame oil and the soup stock, and I would have liked to have ordered it as an a la carte dish and enjoyed a little more. At first glance, the portion may seem small, but there was quite a bit of shari, and once you tasted it, it was very satisfying. Next time I think I'll try a colorful lunch set, but it will be a little lonely without the lively regulars.
