I want to eat Matsuba crab when I travel! So I looked it up online and asked. I had chartered a taxi for a day, so when I informed the driver, he understood immediately. Apparently it's a famous store. Since it was a kaiseki menu for lunch, I ordered the crab legs raw and the rest grilled. The market price was 30,000 yen. It's expensive, but it's worth the price of travel and memories. I was disappointed that the lunch kaiseki didn't have much of a crab flavor...I should have had it as a course instead of a set meal. I had to wait for the driver of reserved taxi, so I ordered a meal rather than a course, so I guess it can't be helped. The taste of raw Matsuba crab was completely different from king crab or snow crab. It was the first time I tasted crab!
