"Sushi" made with natural ingredients from Sanin
At Sushidokoro Sushi, you can enjoy Seafood dishes made with natural ingredients from Sanin. This restaurant is sure to satisfy both locals and tourists, as it offers a taste of Izumo, an area blessed |
◎An exquisite course that generously serves high-quality seasonal local ingredients! In Tokyo, this course would be in the mid-10,000 yen range, but it was only 5,000 yen! ◎One after another, delicious dishes that will impress you... The monkfish liver was the best I've ever had in my life! I went to Izumo. Izumo is a very clean city. I was surprised. It was the complete opposite of the dead feeling that is common in rural areas, the city was lively, and there were many new buildings and it was very clean. It seemed like a nice city to live in. So I went to "Iwanari" which is located a little away from the center of Izumo. It is a very popular restaurant with locals, so reservations are required. There are not many restaurants in the area, so I went by train, but it was pitch black and a little scary lol It's an area that tourists probably don't go to. But honestly, this restaurant is a must-go if you go to Izumo. There are two types of selection courses, 4,000 yen and 5,000 yen. But don't hesitate to choose the 5,000 yen. To be honest, a course that would cost around 15,000 yen in Tokyo is only 5,000 yen. Of course, it's selection 's choice, so it probably varies depending on what's in stock that day, but when I went, the lineup was as follows. ・Sea bream ・Monkfish liver ・Seared wild pufferfish ・Salted sea bream ・Fried wild pufferfish ・Grilled Nodoguro (one fish per person!) ・Assorted Sushi ・Soup The pufferfish was wild, apparently over 5kg caught locally. There was one large Nodoguro per person, and Sushi was a super luxurious version that included sea urchin from Oki Island, crab, and salmon roe. It was a storm of impressions one after another. The menu and pricing convey the owner's kind personality. It's great to have found such a great restaurant! ・Monkfish liver The monkfish liver is rich but not heavy, and even feels a bit refreshing and light. It was the first time I've ever felt a sticky sweetness spreading in my mouth while at the same time feeling refreshing. It was incredibly delicious. It was the most delicious monkfish liver I've ever had in my life.・Seared and deep-fried wild pufferfish A 5kg wild pufferfish. Of course, pufferfish is expensive, but if you go to Karato Market, you'll see that really small pufferfish are really cheap. And those pufferfish don't have much flavor, and there aren't many places where you can eat them. To be honest, they're not that tasty. But the pufferfish I ate this time was huge, and the natural broth made it taste and feel even more chewy! It was really tasty. Unlike sashimi, the seared pufferfish was cut thickly and had great elasticity. And the more you chew it, the more flavor it releases. Because it's seared, the flavor is concentrated, making it even more delicious. The deep-fried pufferfish had plenty of meat around the bones, so it was very satisfying to eat. It was well seasoned with salt and pepper, and it was also very satisfying! ・Grilled Nodoguro I've had grilled Nodoguro a few times, but it seems like it's often served as dried fish. This time, it wasn't dried fish. And each person got one big one. I wonder if they are able to make a profit from this... The fluffy, fatty meat was delicious, of course, but what really impressed me was the guts. It was my first time eating Nodoguro guts, and they were so good! They are similar to Pacific saury guts, but they are a little less bitter than Pacific saury, and have a stronger umami flavor. You'll get addicted to them. -Sushi platter and soup stock Sea urchin from Oki Island. I've heard a lot about the recent shortage of sea urchin, and even when I ate it in Hokkaido the other day, at a highly reputed restaurant, the quality was honestly disappointing, so I think it's hard to get good sea urchin all over the country. However, this sea urchin did not disappoint. It was as delicious as expected. I was surprised. The roll was tuna and unakyu. The tuna was delicious and had a strong umami flavor. I was a little concerned that the rice was normal and the soup stock was a little weak, but if you can get this as part of a 5,000 yen course, I have no complaints! W
